Responsibility to Place
We have a responsibility to place. We value how cultures, stories, and people create a ‘place’ —from indigenous communities that have cared for these sacred lands for centuries to waves of settlers and immigrants who now call these places home. Our neighborhoods are gateways to well-being that have been passed down through generations, despite oppressive forces, such as red lining, internment, and alien exclusion acts. We honor our reciprocal relationship between people and place.
