Values
Previous We have a responsibility to place. Next
We value how cultures, stories, and people create a ‘place’ —from indigenous communities that have cared for these sacred lands for centuries to waves of settlers and immigrants who now call these places home. Our neighborhoods are gateways to well-being that have been passed down through generations, despite oppressive forces, such as red lining, internment, and alien exclusion acts. We honor our reciprocal relationship between people and place.

“We imagined this Artist in Residence program as a way to use culture to reclaim our block and strengthen our community roots.”
