In 2019, the Chinese Culture Center, in collaboration with the Chinatown Art & Culture Coalition, invited artist Christine Wong Yap to explore belonging and resiliency in SF Chinatown and Manilatown in “Art, Culture, and Belonging.” Through storytelling, public art, and online activities, this initiative illuminated the unique cultural assets that contribute to making Chinatown a home and place of belonging for many.
