Every summer ACDC runs Films at the Gate (FatG), a youth-run outdoor film festival at Chin Park. FatG revives the tradition of old Chinatown movie theaters and brings community members of all ages and backgrounds together at the historic Chinatown Gate. The 3-day festival promotes intergenerational bonding through live performances and introducing Kung Fu and classic Chinese films to a new generation. It also activates Chinatown public spaces as safe, clean, and enjoyable for all, and builds up youth leadership in the community.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary this summer, Films at the Gate aims to revitalize a post-COVID Chinatown through its theme of community care and resiliency.
